{"id":5797,"date":"2017-12-21T06:45:58","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T06:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mef.ae\/pages\/?p=5797"},"modified":"2018-01-31T07:35:33","modified_gmt":"2018-01-31T07:35:33","slug":"mr-saeed-almalik-appointed-by-unanimous-vote-as-chairman-of-the-international-ship-services-and-supply-association-issa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mef.ae\/pages\/mr-saeed-almalik-appointed-by-unanimous-vote-as-chairman-of-the-international-ship-services-and-supply-association-issa\/","title":{"rendered":"Mr. Saeed AlMalik, appointed by unanimous vote as Chairman of the International Ship Services and Supply Association (ISSA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium post\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols offset_small\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><span class=\"notranslate\">The Dubai Maritime City Authority celebrated the completion of a new international Emiratisation by selecting the General Assembly of the International Ship Services and Supply Association (ISSA) and by unanimous vote, Saeed Al Malik as Chairman of the Organization for a period of three years beginning in 2018, replacing Singapore&#8217;s Abdul Hamid Al Haji .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> The owner, who is also chairman of the UAE National Shipping Company, is the first Arab to head the ESA, in a strong push for the UAE&#8217;s candidature for membership in the IMO Executive Council under category B.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> The ceremony was attended by a number of Greek officials and diplomats, including Sultan Majid Al Ali, the UAE ambassador to Athens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Mr. Amer Ali, Executive Director of Dubai Maritime City Authority, expressed his pride in the UAE&#8217;s new achievement, which confirms the high international confidence in the local maritime gathering, which has reached the most comprehensive, competitive and attractive maritime complex in the world. And the provision of international vessels \u00bbrepresents a strong boost to national efforts to place the UAE among the world&#8217;s leading maritime capitals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> &#8220;I have the honor to be the first Arab to reach this post.
